She is a native of Greenville, SC, though she has had the privilege of traveling extensively within the United States and abroad. Her esteem of counseling is the result of more than thirteen years of experience in the service of caring holistically for people of all ages, stages, and identities while they navigate the complexities of life.

Dana practices an integrative approach to therapy, customizing process, models, techniques, and interventions best suited to meet individual client needs and capitalizing on personal and professional strengths. She often incorporates person-centered, cognitive-behavioral, somatic, experiential, acceptance and commitment, and solution-focused theories and techniques.

With her younger clients, Dana primarily utilizes child-centered and play therapy approaches.

Through her various roles as a nanny, substitute teacher, mother, registered nurse, and adolescent mentor, Dana has had the privilege of engaging with young persons of all ages and maintains an appreciation for the wonder and novelty with which babies and children approach and experience the world and relationships as well as for the challenging shift to navigating life experiences and systems as an adolescent and teenager.

It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble, or hard work;
